Information stored in your browser

When browser storage is available, the calculator saves the information needed to restore your plan in your browser’s localStorage. That information may include your checking balance and confirmation date, income and bill details, forecast period, minimum buffer, everyday-spending settings, and assumption-review status.

Temporary purchase tests, hypothetical scenarios, and demo information are not saved as part of your baseline plan. Forecast results are recalculated from the plan rather than stored as bank records. Browser storage has no app-set expiration date, but it may be cleared, blocked, or become unavailable.

No accounts, bank connections, or financial-data backend

Payday Forecast does not require a user account, bank login, or bank connection. The calculator runs in your browser and does not send your saved plan to a Payday Forecast financial-data backend. It does not retrieve account balances or transactions from a financial institution.

Information received when you visit or contact us

Payday Forecast is hosted by Netlify. Like other website hosts, Netlify may process ordinary request and device information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include an IP address, requested page, request time, browser or device details, and referrer information supplied by the browser. Calculator-plan fields are not intentionally added to those requests. Netlify handles this information under its own privacy statement and service terms.

If you email Payday Forecast, the operator receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. That information may be used to respond, operate and protect the site, keep reasonable business records, and comply with legal obligations.

Privacy-limited analytics

Payday Forecast uses Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) on eligible production visits to understand whether pages and core calculator features are useful. There is no opt-in consent banner. Netlify supplies a request country code at the network edge and the site reduces it to an eligible, excluded, or unknown analytics mode before sending the page. The browser does not receive the country code. Currently, only visits classified as from the United States are eligible for default-on analytics.

GA4 stays completely off for visits classified as from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, where prior analytics consent may be required. It is also off for every other country and for missing, malformed, unavailable, or bypassed location information. Those visits do not load the Google tag or send GA4 requests. If edge classification fails, the page remains in the unknown, analytics-off mode.

For an eligible visit, GA4 starts automatically unless that browser has a stored opt-out. The site sends one manually controlled page view containing only an approved page path, fixed page title, origin-and-path page location, and blank referrer. Recognized campaign query parameters are removed from the browser URL before the Google tag loads; any visit containing another query parameter remains analytics-off. Unknown paths are reported only as the generic /404/ path.

Product measurement is limited to the occurrence of seven predefined actions: calculator opened, demo started, plan setup started, forecast generated, assumptions reviewed, purchase test used, and Excel export completed. The analytics interface does not accept balances, income, bill or purchase amounts, bill names or descriptions, entered dates, schedules, buffers, forecast results, saved plan contents, local-storage contents, Excel data, account or bank information, or typed text. No custom event parameters are sent with those actions.

Google may process the visitor’s IP address and information supplied by the browser or Google tag, such as a first-party client identifier, session activity, browser and device details, language, and approximate location. GA4 cookies are configured as host-only, secure cookies with a 90-day lifetime that does not refresh on activity. Google Signals, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising-personalization signals stay disabled. GA4 Enhanced Measurement must also remain disabled so automatic form, search, scroll, click, download, video, and browser-history events cannot bypass the reviewed event list. Advertising and Journey by Mediavine remain disabled.

Google processes Analytics information under its own privacy policy and applicable service terms. Payday Forecast does not configure User-ID, financial custom dimensions, Google Ads links, cross-domain measurement, or server-side Measurement Protocol uploads.

How information is shared

Payday Forecast does not sell the financial information in your calculator plan or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Netlify may process ordinary website request information as the hosting provider. Google receives the limited Analytics information described above only for eligible visits. Information sent directly to the operator may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the site, its operator, or its visitors.

Local-storage and device risks

Browser storage is associated with the website origin, not a Payday Forecast account. Code permitted to run on the same origin, a browser extension, a compromised device, or another person using the same unlocked browser profile may be able to access locally stored information. No method of storage is completely secure.

Payday Forecast does not provide cloud backup, cross-device synchronization, or account recovery. A saved plan may be lost if you clear site data, change browsers or devices, use a private-browsing mode, or if the browser blocks or removes storage. Do not treat browser storage as the only durable copy of information you need to keep.

Excel exports

An Excel workbook is created in your browser as a snapshot for download; Payday Forecast does not upload it to an export service. After download, the file is controlled by your device, browser, operating system, backup tools, file-sharing choices, and spreadsheet application. Clearing your browser plan does not delete a workbook you have already downloaded.

Your choices and requests

On an eligible visit, the analytics setting at the bottom of each page lets you turn future GA4 collection off or back on for that browser. Turning analytics off stores only that preference in localStorage, sets Google’s programmatic collection-disable flag, stops later product events, and attempts to remove Payday Forecast’s host-only GA4 cookies. It does not delete measurements already received by Google. Clearing this site’s browser data also clears the preference, so a later eligible visit will default on again. You can additionally block or delete cookies with browser controls or use a compatible content blocker.

The calculator’s confirmed clear-plan action removes its saved baseline from localStorage. You can also use your browser’s site-data controls, although those controls may remove other data for the site at the same time. Blocking browser storage may prevent the calculator from restoring your plan later.

You may contact Payday Forecast about information received directly from you, such as an email. Because the calculator plan stays in your browser, the operator generally cannot retrieve or delete that plan for you. Requests will be handled as required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Payday Forecast’s practices or legal obligations change. The revised policy will identify its effective date. A material change will not be described as effective before the updated policy is published.
